This week’s theme is “Pointed” and I’ve chosen a 5-pointed starfish – it would also work really well with a theme of “camouflage!” 🙂

Photo Hunt – Bright
This week’s theme is “Bright” and I’ve chosen a photo of bright orange carp at the Chinese Friendship Garden, Darling Harbour, Sydney. It was difficult to get a good photo because the sun was glaring in the wrong direction, plus they were swimming along moving all the time! But they are definitely “bright” orange!
And a bright coloured birdhouse at the Enchanted Maze Gardens, VIC Australia.

Photo Hunt – Bad Hair
This week’s theme is “Bad Hair” and I thought of these photos straightaway! This is the haircut that my best male friend had when I moved to Melbourne 4 1/2 years ago (crikey, have I been in Aussie that long already??!) … talk about a “Bad Hair day”!!!
Eventually I managed to talk him into getting his mop of curls chopped off, and his best friend offered to get out the shears immediately and start shearing away! The whole situation amused me no end, so I just had to capture the moment on film … and here are a couple of shots from the day’s process …
And just who IS this handsome young fella at the end of it all??!!! We all had to admit he looked 10 times better with his new haircut … and to this day he’s kept it short … of course, he will no longer be talking to me after sharing his photos on this blog!!! 😛
Photo Hunt – Self (yourself or part of you)
This week’s theme is “Self (yourself or part of you) and I don’t have any recent photos of me personally, so I took one of my ‘wounded’ hand. See if you can pick which one of these pudgy fingers I tried to lop off with the meat cleaver a few weeks ago … ! I trimmed the nail back today as I’ve started catching it on things, and the nail is still a bit ‘sensitive’ for want of a better word. I was very very lucky, that’s for sure!!

Photo Hunt – Candy & some stitching
I’ve been a lazy slob today curling up on my bed with my laptop headphones on listening to another audiobook while stitching some more on Mirabilia’s Winter Queen. The book I’m reading now is “Dark Horse” by Tami Hoag … aside from the occasional bursts of language that have even ME turning grey, it’s an OK book so far – not the best I’ve ever read, but it’s kept me awake and stitching. I’ve been running downstairs to the laundry doing my week’s washing inbetween stitching and reading. I’ve managed to get to a stage on Winter Queen when I’m about to roll up the fabric on the scroll bars so I thought I’d take a WIP photo before I do … sorry but the quality is dreadful as it’s at night and I can’t find the battery charger of my ‘stitching camera’. Oh well, at least some of that dreadful white-on-white stitching has been done … almost one skein down, four left to go 😉
Mind you, the white may not be the death of me … it’s more likely to be the revolting Wisper thread – geez I detest that stuff!!! But, hey, I only need 2 cards of the stuff for my Queen … 2 cards too many
At least her knees will be warm while she’s waiting to be finished! 😉

This week’s theme is “Candy” and I have to admit I almost didn’t bother posting because I couldn’t be bothered finding a photo or taking a new one – then as I was loading the WIP photo of Winter Queen I remembered the photo of the Peeps that Monique kindly sent me … et voila, you have Candy!! 🙂
Photo Hunt – Share ANY Photo You’d Like
This week’s theme is “Share ANY photo you’d like” so I’ve chosen a couple of photos from Santorini that I really love (they’re scans from the actual hard-copy photo so the clarify isn’t great, but I still love them). I’ve asked Mum to bring some of my other photos of Greece and Paris so I can scan them in and use them in the future (almost all of my old photos are still with my parents in New Zealand).
Photo Hunt – Time
This week’s theme is “Time” and my choice for the theme is the clockface on the main building of the University of Western Australia. As always my photos are taken with a zoom lens and without a tripod, so a crisp outline may not be present … but I still love this photo, as I love the colours of this clock face 🙂
