Cross Stitch, Finishes, Valerie Pfeiffer

Freesias by Valerie Pfeiffer

I’ve been meaning to stitch this for my Mum for quite a number of years now, and other projects keep getting pushed in front of it.  I had planned on including it in my 2013 stitching challenge, but then all of a sudden was in-between projects and started feeling a sudden urge to get it finished so Mum could enjoy it sooner.  I managed to put the final stitches into it this morning, and it just needs to be framed now so I can give it to her when she comes to visit in 2 weeks’ time.  I’ve been blessed with 3 visits from Mum now this year – first to head to France and the UK, then to help me at home with cleaning out the apartment, and now to attend a Baroque concert we’ve had tickets booked for since the beginning of the year – I’m feeling very spoilt with so many visits, and loving every single minute of every one!

with recommended DMC threads

I’m working some mental hours at work yet again, but trying to get a couple of days off during Mum’s visit … not sure if it’ll pan out, but we’ll see … either way we’ll have 2 weekends together, if nothing else 🙂

  1. This is really pretty! Very bright and cheerful and I’m sure your mom will love it. 🙂 Hope you are able to get a little time off from work to spend with her when she visits.

  2. Lovely! I hadn’t seen this gorgeous floral before. It’s a design to remember next time I’m stash shopping. A beauty that any mother would love! Happy Stitching! Joan
