Sunflowers galore!!!

I’ve had a lazy day sat in front of the goggle box today – no Christmas ornies completed, but I do have one other very happy dance!ย  I’ve managed to finish off my Sunflower Sampler – I was surprised how long it’s taken me to get the final bands finished, but finally it’s off the scroll bars … that block roll will have a new resident for a while ๐Ÿ™‚

Unfortunately the photos are grotty again, as it’s early evening and I can never get a good shot at night ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Here are a few closer photos of the individual bands:

I think this very last ‘triangular’ band is my absolute favourite of the whole piece … followed by the house and birds.

I just love the beading accents on this piece, it really brings it to life a bit more ๐Ÿ™‚

Now is the big decision what to stitch next … I have no major urges to start anything in particular, so goodness knows what I’ll come up with …ย  I’d offer a poll to help make a decision, but WordPress won’t allow polls (one of the very few things that is annoying about WP – everything else I much prefer over Blogger).ย  Never mind, I’m sure I’ll come up with something to stitch over the next week! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  1. Anne, I love your most recent finish and I too like the pointy end bit on it very much. Well done doing the shower curtain at long last. I shall have to make my DD’s Roman Blind for her window as we have been putting a blanket up there on a night for 3 weeks now !!

  2. Yes, there are a few WP restrictions that don’t sit well with me, either. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hey, your finish is so incredible. I have, I believe, Dandelion Sampler hiding someplace, and your finish just makes me want to go digging around for it!! But first… teacher’s gifts!

  3. It’s beautiful, Anne!

Speaking of WordPress – I’m actually thinking of making the move back to blogger, because of a couple of little things about wordpress that I don’t like either.

  4. Stunning! I think my favourite part is the verse and the alphabets. I love the effect of the variegated thread. Then again, the whole piece is just stunning. Congratulations on a beautiful finish. Are you gonna have it framed up or make it into a bellpull?

  5. Beautiful, Congrats on the finish. I’ve been debating if I should get myself a copy of this for a while now and that I’ve seen your’s I really need to!

  6. I’ve loved watching your progress on Sunflowers! And now that it’s finished it’s absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
