I finally put the last stitches into my Christmas ornie for this month’s SAL – I’m sorry to say for my recipient’s sake the bullion stitches aren’t exactly fantastic, but hopefully she won’t look too closely! πΒ I know I had a few of you stumped with the actual design, but I can finally reveal the details … I just have to find something to place in the ‘blank heart’ as I don’t have the button called for, then it’s ready to be officially ‘finished’ and sent off on it’s way … (I’ve removed the recipient’s initials for secrecy’s sake)

I also finally put the finishing touches into an ornie that Mum stitched for me – she just had the french knots left to do, and very kindly left me to do them, as she knows just how much I adore doing french knots! πΒ It’s supposed to have JABC star buttons, but I don’t have any left, and I think it looks just fine without it.Β Thanks Mum, it looks just lovely! π

Wonderful projects, Anne!
Your ornies are so pretty!
Really lovely Anne. Especially the first one.
The first one is stunning! The second one is cute π
Oh your band sampler ornie…is just beautiful…your stitching is always so amazing!
Great job Anne!
That’s a VERY pretty design – I have that magazine and have never noticed it! LOL
Love your Mum’s one too π
They’re both lovely, but I particularly like the first one! Ironically, I gave my 2000 ornament issue away because I thought I’d stitched all the ornaments I liked, but I’ve seen several stitched up recently that I want to stitch π
OOOH, I agree with everyone else..the first one is just gorgeous! VERY nice work, Anne π Congratulations on both your finishes π
I love the little sampler and your mom’s ornament is really cute too.
Lovely ornaments – I adore the needleroll! I will look that one up and see what heart it uses – maybe I can get that for you!
Both are lovely Anne, will have to go looking again in my JCS issues for the first design π (I’ve probably seen it 100 times, lol, as the 2000 issue is my favourite) Have a good day!
Fantastic work Anne and Anne’s mum! I love that LK ornament, though I always have to look twice – it looks to me like the the snowman is holding two cocktails – a very merry way to welcome the season!
They look lovely Anne – especially that 2000 issue one. The bullion knots look great to me π
What an exquisite finish, Anne! That L*K ornie is really cute, too π (((hugs)))
Beautiful ornie your stitching is so neat π I like your Mums one too!!
I think that your bullions are a treat! I avoid those things like the plague, which is the main reason that I haven’t finished the memorial sampler for Terry’s mum – it has a bunch of bullion roses… Great job; the ornie is beautiful! Your mum did well, too, but she needs to learn how to do her own French knots. π
Lovely ornies Anne, congratulations
Anne, tne ornaments are so pretty. I love the first one and the red fabric really brings out the second one!
