Pinkeep Finish & Eye Candy
I don’t think I’ve ever posted a photo of this finished pinkeep – this is one I’ve finished as a model for Karen to use at her shop, which has been sitting around for months before finally being placed in a bubble envelope today ready to be posted to her:

Also, I’m not sure if you’ve seen the following designs, but I personally think they’re all wonderful 🙂

Barbara’s Round Robin to date
Unfortunately I haven’t had much stitching time over the last few weeks, so my round robin has gone into the mail for this round a few days late – but here are my finished sections for this round, along with how Barbara’s piece looks so far:
Only one more final round to stitch, then they all return home to their owners again, and we have the task of putting them all together. I’ve really enjoyed seeing everyone’s choices of threads and linen, and they all look so very different – can’t wait to see them all finished! 😀

Last week’s theme was ”Orange” … not “Curved” as I originally posted!! It appears I stuffed up last week’s Photo Hunt, as I accidentally published a post meant for December 5 instead of September 5!!! So here are some choices for last week’s theme of Orange:

Sorry, too busy to write anything more … probably won’t get chance to get online again before the weekend … and no stitching to show for all the busy-ness!
A couple of finishes … and some holiday snaps …
Just a really quick post, so I can upload some holiday snaps, as well as my latest stitching finishes. Here goes …
First up my latest finishes from yesterday and today:

Next are some of the critters we came across on the same holiday … don’t scroll down any further if you don’t like crocodiles and/or snakes!!!

More piccies will follow shortly … of the gentler feathered friends we met while away, as well as some general piccies of Cairns, Port Douglas, and the general surrounding areas 🙂
Photo Hunt – Surprise
This week’s theme is ”Surprise” and we got a Surprise when we saw this sight in Napier, New Zealand last Christmas – unfortunately times are really tough, and it appears the reindeers have all been made redundant … there may be delays in gifts arriving this year! 😛
Then imagine our Surprise when we turned a corner in a Queensland Zoo and found this ‘little’ Surprise waiting for us on the footpath looking all brave! Yep, definitely a surprise when we’d only just recently been looking at one of its relatives behind wire bars!! Here’s an Iguana enjoying its day in the sun 😀

Four sleeps to go
In 4 sleeps time the Dragon will have landed in Oz, and I’m off on 3 weeks annual leave. Things are hectic at work, so I’m not online at all at the moment, and probably won’t be much while Mum’s here. I feel a bit brighter health-wise over the last few days, though, which is a great sign … perhaps it’s the excitement of only having to work until the end of this week? haha. I did have my CT scan last week and currently awaiting 8 vials of blood to be analysed … hopefully the results will be through soon.
In the meantime I have managed to put a few stitches into LHN’s Home of a Needleworker Too … but I’m too lazy to take a progress photo – I don’t have one of the threads, so a finish will be some time away yet, but I’ll post a piccie some time next week if I get time. Mum and I are heading off to warmer climes for a week, where there’ll be nothing to do, so hopefully that’ll mean some serious R&R and stitching time! 😀
This is where we’re heading next Thursday …

Hurry up “next Thursday” and arrive already!!! 😉
